About Us
After gaining independence on July 9th, 2011, South Sudan faced challenges in human capacity building, particularly in the health sector. In response to the shortage of qualified professionals, private and international partners collaborated to establish the South University of Medicine, Science and Technology (SUMST) to address these gaps.
As we embark on this journey, SUMST invites aspiring students and stakeholders to join us in shaping the future of healthcare in South Sudan. Together, we will build a legacy of excellence, bridging the gap in education and healthcare to contribute to the nation's development.
